Indigenous Human Resources
We build people strategies rooted in Indigenous values that strengthen communities and create real economic opportunity.
Built on Lived Experience, Not Textbooks
Led by a CEO of Métis descent, our work with Indigenous communities isn't just a service line we added to stay relevant. It's where this company's roots are.
For more than two decades, we've partnered with Indigenous employers of every kind: First Nations governments, councils, Indigenous-led nonprofits, school boards, and economic development corporations. We've recruited senior executives for Indigenous employers who needed the right leadership in place fast. We've helped federally-funded initiatives build their HR and staffing infrastructure from the ground up. We've stepped in as interim chief administrative officers when communities needed experienced hands to steady operations. And we've conducted highly sensitive workplace investigations for Indigenous governments, often untangling problems inherited from previous administrations.
Every relationship is different because every community is different. But the constant across all of our work is this: we listen first, we respect self-determination, and we deliver results that serve the community's priorities, not ours.
What We Do
We work alongside Indigenous employers to build HR systems that reflect their values and serve their people. From governance and leadership frameworks to recruitment strategies for rural and remote communities, to culturally grounded workplace policies that don't just copy corporate templates.
We also support capacity building so communities develop their own internal HR expertise, and advise non-Indigenous organizations on meaningful reconciliation strategy.
First Nations governments and band administrations. Tribal councils and regional Indigenous organizations. Indigenous-led nonprofits and economic development corporations. Non-Indigenous employers developing reconciliation and Indigenous engagement strategies.
Whether you're an Indigenous community building HR capacity from the ground up or a Canadian employer navigating your reconciliation commitments, we bring the experience and cultural understanding to get it right.
Who We Work With
Let's Talk About What Your Community Needs
Every engagement begins with listening. Tell us about your community, your challenges, and your vision, and we'll tell you honestly whether and how we can help.
